The DOVO Barbarossa in 5/8 inch is a masterpiece that was developed specifically for the needs of barbers and beard wearers. The short blade of this razor allows exceptional maneuverability and precision to shape the beard and contours with millimeter precision. The fine engraving of the image of the famous bearded Emperor Barbarossa is a visual highlight.

Material: Quality meets tradition

The razor is made of carbon steel with the material designation 1.2210, better known as silver steel. By heating to over 1000 degrees and immediately quenching with a special oil, the blade achieves a hardness of around 61 HRC. The subsequent tempering at around 200 degrees gives the blade elasticity and toughness.

Handle material: Ebony in perfect form

The razor's handle is made of black ebony, one of the most valuable woods on earth. The exceptional hardness and weight make ebony ideal for producing high-quality handles. The wooden structure allows it to retain its shape even in humid environments. Multiple grinding passes create the silky-smooth surface that makes this razor a work of art.

Cut: Fully hollow for unique precision

Thanks to the hollow grinding, in which the razor is ground concavely from the back to the cutting edge, this model combines great flexibility with high torsional rigidity. The blade dynamics ensure a gentle shave, accompanied by a characteristic sound when the knife swings during the hair section.
