Materials and craftsmanship

The blade is made of 1.2210 carbon steel, also known as silver steel, hardened to around 61 HRC and largely crafted by hand in Solingen. The full hollow grind makes the blade particularly thin and flexible toward the edge; when cutting through beard hair, it produces the characteristic bright sound of a full-hollow razor.

The round point is the classic, versatile head shape. Compared with a square point or Spanish point, it is particularly forgiving to guide around the nose, ears and small uneven areas, while the 5/8-inch width offers a balanced middle ground between stability and maneuverability.

How to use

Before shaving, strop the razor on a leather strop, stretch the lathered skin with your free hand and guide the blade at an angle of approximately 30 degrees without applying additional pressure. Afterwards, rinse the blade with warm water, carefully pat it dry and leave the razor open to rest in a dry place.
