The DOVO No. 1516 SPECIAL exudes an irresistible retro charm that has made it a classic in our range for decades. The gold-decorated blade and the handle made of imitation tortoiseshell give this hand-ground razor in size 5/8 inch with a fully hollow grind a unique look.

Material: silver steel with gold decoration

This razor is made of carbon steel with the material designation 1.2210, better known as silver steel. In order to achieve a hardness of around 61 HRC, the material is heated to over 1000 degrees and then immediately quenched with a special oil. The ornaments on the blade are created by a decoration made of 24 carat gold.

Handle material: Acrylic with tortoiseshell imitation

The handle of the DOVO No. 1516 SPECIAL is made of acrylic and skillfully imitates the look of tortoiseshell. This high-quality imitation, polished to a satin finish, not only gives the razor an exquisite aesthetic.

Blade Description: Round head for safety and versatility

The classic round head of the razor is particularly safe to use around the ears, nose and dimples. The double attachment and the two-sided tang ensure precise handling and unique control while shaving.

Cut: Fully hollow for a gentle shave

The hollow grind of the DOVO No. 1516 SPECIAL gives the razor great flexibility and at the same time high torsional rigidity. The blade dynamics ensure a gentle shave, accompanied by a characteristic sound when the knife swings while cutting the hair.
