The Mootes blade collector for used razor blades is a compact PET collection container for anyone who uses classic razor blades. Used blades can be easily inserted through the narrow slot and stored safely.

The idea behind the blade collector

Alexander (a Mootes customer) is a trained polymechanic and a tinkerer who enjoys solving technical problems himself. During an overseas military deployment in support of peacekeeping efforts, he travelled frequently and kept facing the same question after shaving: Where should he put the used blade?

He therefore designed a small collection box with his 3D printer and improved the design through several stages of development. When Alexander presented his idea to us, we were immediately impressed by his initiative and the well-thought-out solution. We are happy to support people who show initiative and implement their own ideas. That is why we worked with him to produce an initial small series for Mootes.

The blade collector prevents used blades from lying loose around the bathroom or ending up unprotected in the waste. Once the container is full, it can be emptied and reused.

Material and workmanship

The blade collector is made from PET and weighs just 8 g. Its flat format takes up very little space, while the black design with the raised Mootes lettering blends discreetly with your shaving accessories.

How to use

Carefully slide the used razor blade through the designated slot. Once the blade collector is full, you can empty it and dispose of the collected blades in accordance with local regulations.
