DOVO describes the product as an odorless formula made from oils. The manufacturer does not disclose the exact composition of each individual oil; the oil is colorless and odorless, and resistant to aging and oxidation.

The blade must first be clean and completely dry. Apply a small amount of oil to a lint-free cloth, gently wipe both sides of the blade, and dab off the excess.
