Material

Made from vegetable-tanned cowhide, which offers a smooth and even surface without irregularities. This leather is ideal for gently and effectively stropping straight razors. The back is lined with linen fabric, primarily used for pre-cleaning the blade. The metal parts are nickel-plated and robustly crafted.

Usage

Before every shave, you should strop your razor: Lay the spine and edge flat on the stretched strap and pull it toward the spine without applying pressure. When you reach the end, flip the razor over the spine and repeat the process. After 10–15 strokes, your blade is optimally prepared.

Care

To keep your hanging strop supple for a long time, do not store it in direct sunlight or damp rooms. Occasional polishing with leather balm preserves the smooth surface and protects the material.
