The Hawk V2 has been noticeably improved compared to the first version. The head shape is rounder and therefore sits more naturally on the face, loading the blade is easier thanks to new guide pins, and the reinforced safety bar design ensures greater robustness. The halo handle also provides excellent grip – and the lightweight aluminum allows for precise control without the risk of excessive weight.

The razor is made from CNC-milled 6061 aluminum – lightweight, sturdy, and perfectly suited for SE blades. The satin finish looks modern and feels pleasant to the touch. Aluminum makes the razor exceptionally light, which is a major advantage, especially with the extremely sharp Artist Club blades, as it allows for more controlled shaving with less aggression.

Application

If you've never shaved with a single-edge safety razor before: Take your time. The blades are thicker and sharper than classic razor blades. Start with light pressure and let the weight of the razor do the work. 12–15 shaves are usually enough to master the technique. For a gentler introduction, guarded blades like the Feather Pro Guard are recommended.

Notice

When assembling the plane, do not overtighten – aluminum is softer than steel. A drop of mineral oil on the threads will make it easier to handle.
